A few years ago I was asked to face paint for charity.  This turned out to be a success and left with a basic kit I found it too much of a temptation and agreed to face paint for friends and family.  Due to the increase in demand I decided to take the next step and branched out to do public events.  Now I am delighted to offer my services for all occasions.

I have recently become a member of F.A.C.E.  The International Face Painting Association and offer a fully insured service.

As a member of F.A.C.E. The Face Painting Association, I abide by the Code of Practice as issued, and amended from time to time, by the Association. The current Code is as noted below.

  1. Always use professional paints and products as recommended by the Association.

  2. Do not paint a child with a cold sore or any other apparent skin disease.

  3. Use clean utensils, wash containers, brushes and sponges thoroughly after each session. Try to keep them clean during the session.

  4. Change brush water frequently.

  5. Be extra careful when painting near the eyes, especially on very young children and those unable to keep still.

  6. Clean any dirt or food from a child's face before starting. Look out for runny noses!

  7. Do not add disinfectant to the water as the paint already contains agents which act against yeast, mould, and bacteria.

  8. It is essential that you have your own public liability insurance or that you are covered by the policy of the company you are working for.

I use various different makes of paint amongst which are Mehron, Snazaroo and Fardel . All of the paints which I use are of a professional high grade quality. They are FDA, EEC and EU approved and hypo-allergenic. We do not use any paints which have not been rigorously tested or which have failed to meet the stringent standards of  the FDA, EEC or EU.

Importantly, all the paints I use are water based and are easily removed from skin and clothing.

Testimonials

Dear Jane,

Just a note to say ‘thank you’ from the ‘Women’s Guild’ for coming to the Fair on Saturday. I thought that the children I saw that you had worked on looked fantastic.

Sincerely,

Gwen.

Dear Jane,

All the children looked really good, and we have received nothing but positive feedback about the paintings.  Thank you for assisting in making it a great party.

Kind Regards,

Kathy, on behalf of Charterhouse Social Club Committee.

Hi Guys,

I am writing to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for coming along on 25th August and putting on the display on Wiseman car park, as you know I fell in love with the yellow Ford Cortina  but they were all beautiful cars!  It was an amazing day thank you all so much for your support it was superb having you there and we are really very grateful you turned up and helped us raise so much money.

I know the bands have received a lot of publicity and praise but honestly it was a thrill having you guys there and we had lots of comments about how lovely the cars were - and Jane who did the face painting is a true artist - so next year when we are getting strapped for cash we'd love to approach you again for some support?!!

Once again, a heartfelt thanks and kindest regards

Carol, Wilf, Donna and all the family xx
